PTB Sales has become the industry leader in rebuilding cryopumps and cryo compressors. We back this claim by offering a up to one year parts and labor warranty (for most items), the longest standard warranty in the industry. Our OEM trained technicians rebuild cryopumps and compressors to meet or exceed the manufacturer’s specifications for performance. PTB Sales cryopump rebuilds are the most thorough in the industry. Our final test covers complete cycles as close to the production environment as possible.

PTB Sales employs OEM trained operational and technical talent and provides equivalent quality and service levels associated with the OEM but at much more affordable pricing. We have the most robust BOM parts replacement in each rebuild, which is a full overhaul tested to OEM equipment specifications.

Cryopump rebuild service includes:

Vacuum Side
- Replacement of charcoal array.
- Replacement of all indium.
- 80K array is given new nickel plating.
- Parts are cleaned and baked out.
- He leak checked to 1x10^-8 cc/s.

Helium Circuit
- Replacement of all bearings on the pump and motor.
- Replacement of all O-rings, valves, Teflon seals and springs.
- Valve timing set for perfect seal.
- 1st and 2nd stage displacers cleaned and baked out.

Cryo Test
- Pump is fully charged with 99.999% ultra pure helium.
- Pump is tested over a 24 hour period.
- Cryo is put through two full regens.
- All electronics are tested on On-Board and IS cryopumps.
- Pumps are tagged to reflect work done and test data.

Cryo Compressor Rebuild Service

Cryo compressor rebuild service includes:

Replacement of valve plate, valves and adsorber (new).
Recharge with 99.999% ultra pure helium.
Clean and purge helium lines.
Leak check.
Replacement of marginal mechanical and electronic parts (extra charge, requires customer approval).
