Ricor's Coolstar® 400 CT pump is designed to replace the CTI-100 or similar pump. With the introduction of the Coolstar® 400 CT cryo pump and with replacement parts for CTI-100 being scarce, process tool users (e.g. Varian E-500 implanter users) are now offered a superior and inexpensive alternative. Ricor CoolStar® 400 CT has a simple hardware and software interface enabling easy replacement of the previous CTI pump. The pump is driven by a pneumatic mechanism providing simplicity and higher cooling power. A stepper motor enables:
- Faster cycle during cool down=higher cooling capacity and shorter cool down time (pump down gets shorter by 50% compared to CT-100)
- Slower reciprocation during steady state and therefore increased seals life.
- A powerful cooling mechanism enables longer intervals between regeneration. The pump is controlled by a temperature diode and a simple temperature controller which enables a smooth and immediate (drop-in) electronic integration.
- Ricor Coolstar® 400 CT can be driven from any existing compressor or from a Ricor CryoDrive® compressor.
