We are excited to welcome A-VAC customers to PTB Sales! As of August 2026 all business operations in Anaheim have officially transitioned to PTB’s service center in Azusa, California.

By joining forces, A-VAC customers now have access to PTB’s expanded resources, inventory and in-house technical expertise.

The A-VAC Story

Founded in 1969, A-VAC Industries has been vacuum pump experts for over 50 years. Now, in 2026 we are a part of PTB. Based in Anaheim, CA in between Angel Stadium and Disneyland, A-VAC has provided vacuum pump repair service and sales. A-VAC as part of PTB is increasing our customers' service levels.

Once upon a time, back in the dark ages (1969), before I-Pads, lap-top computers and cell phones, A-VAC Industries was established in Santa Ana, CA. With industry booming in Southern California, and the need for high vacuum equipment service escalating, our founder, Merlin T. Kirby, opened the doors of A-VAC Industries to fill that need. 'Providing Quality Service' was our motto and our business philosophy.

PTB operates multiple remanufacturing lines out of our main facility in Azusa with a capacity of 27,853 sq ft, which also store a very large inventory of pumps. We have a highly technical competent staff that is focused on customer service and getting it right the first time. 

Together, we have an extensive and growing network of partners throughout the supply chain and have solid relationships with many equipment OEMs. As a result we can deliver vacuum pump repair service to our customers that are equivalent to those they could receive from an OEM but at a much more affordable price level. So many decades after being founded our focus remains on reliable, timely and high quality servicing of our customers needs! In addition, these strategic relationships allow us to sell new vacuum pumps for a variety of industries.
